Drew Rosenhaus, the agent of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is calling on the police officers who pulled over his client to be fired after his stunning arrest on Sunday.
According to official citations, Hill was cited for careless driving as well as a seatbelt violation. The two penalties do not require an appearance in court and carry fines of $308 combined.
Those documents say that Hill was traveling at a high rate of speed visually estimated to be 60mph in a high traffic area with pedestrians and other vehicles.
Once cops pulled Hill’s McLaren over, they dragged him out of the car and forced him onto the ground – with one officer putting their knee in the wide receiver’s back.
Rosenhaus, appearing on ‘The Dan Le Batard Show’ on Tuesday, was asked what the department should do after body cam footage was released publicly Monday night.

‘For me, personally, I think the police officers that did that to Tyreek shouldn’t be in that position,’ Rosenhaus said, as the bodycam video played.
‘They should be let go. Look at — the guy who just kicked him right there. That guy should be fired. That’s out of control.
‘The guy that jumped in [and] put him in a chokehold? There’s no place for a police officer to have a badge that operates like that when Tyreek wasn’t being aggressive or violent or fighting back in any capacity.
‘That was horrendous how they treated him. They didn’t treat him like a human being.’
Rosenhaus declined sharing if Hill thinks the officers should be fired, saying, ‘I’ll let Tyreek speak to that. That’s my opinion. He and I have not had that specific discussion.
‘But certainly I would recommend to Tyreek and the legal team that that’s something that we pursue.
‘You know, I think he deserves an apology from each and every one of those police officers involved.
‘And the ones that abused their authority and power should not be on the force, in my opinion, moving forward.’

The wideout is claiming that he was manhandled by Miami Dade police because he is black and has amplified those claims with other media outlets like CNN and NBC- where he shared his view of the situation.
Police were criticized by the Miami Dolphins organization – which described the video as ‘both maddening and heartbreaking’.
The team vowed to stand with Hill and called for ‘swift and strong action’ against the officers guilty of ‘overly aggressive’, ‘violent’ and ‘despicable’ behavior.
Social media reaction to the incident was overwhelmingly in favor of Hill – with a majority of posts critical of Miami-Dade police’s handling of the situation and accusing them of racism.
Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III re-posted the footage, saying, ‘This level of aggression and demeaning behavior was not necessary. This is an excessive overuse of power.’
FOX Sports analyst and former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho also shared the footage, calling it ‘about as disgusting as you would expect.’
In a separate post, Acho called the police officers ‘disgusting’ and said, ‘If the footage doesn’t make you livid, you need to check your pulse.’
Michael Eaves, an Emmy-award winning journalist and anchor on SportsCenter, wrote, ‘For those of you who are somewhat surprised by the body cam footage from the Tyreek Hill situation, you’ve clearly never been guilty of driving while black.’

Miami Herald writer and ‘Dan Le Batard Show’ guest Greg Cote said, ‘Tyreek Hill was caught driving while black. That was his crime. It was a gross overreaction by the police. I thought it was a plain abuse of power.’
Body cam footage released on Monday night captured the moment police pursued Hill and pulled his McLaren 720S over outside Hard Rock Stadium.
Hill rolled down his window and then handed police his license while telling them to not knock on his windows and ‘just gimme my ticket bro, I’m finna be late gang, just do what you gotta do.’
At that point, Hill rolled his window back up – with officers telling him to roll it back down.
Officers then tell Hill to get out of the car – with one cop overheard saying ‘imma break that f***ing window’.
The wide receiver replied, ‘I’m finna get out’, but before Hill had the chance to open the door, officers wrenched the door open and dragged him out of his car.
Hill later told CNN that the reason he rolled his window back up is so that bystanders did not recognize him as the whole affair was going down.

‘I’m not trying to cause a scene because if I let me window down, people walking by and driving by they’re going to know that it’s me and they’re going to start taking pictures,’ he said.
‘I didn’t want to create a scene at all. I just really wanted to get the ticket and then go on my way and have a great Sunday.’
Hill added: ‘It was crazy – me being a father, me being a husband. I was just putting myself in that situation (thinking): Hey, I got to be smart. That’s why I really wasn’t on that kind of energy. I was chilling, I was following rules.’
After dragging Hill out of the car and getting put on the ground, he was overheard speaking to Rosenhaus on the phone, saying, ‘I’m getting arrested Drew.’
‘When we tell you to do something, you do it. You understand? Not what you want, what we tell you. You’re a little f****** confused,’ an officer told him.
Cops were heard telling the NFL star to ‘stop crying’ after they had dragged him out of his car and put him face down on to the road.
Hill was eventually released and went on to play on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars
At least one officer who detained Hill did not know who the wide receiver was – with another cop having to inform him.
‘Why is he acting up like that?’ one officer asked, as Hill could be heard shouting in the background. ‘You know who that is right?
His colleague – believed to have been the first cop to approach Hill’s car after it was pulled over – replied: ‘No?’
They were then informed it was ‘one of the Dolphins’ star players’, to which they responded: ‘Oh yeah?’
Minutes earlier, the wide receiver was placed in handcuffs near Hard Rock Stadium while driving to the Dolphins’ season opener against Jacksonville. ‘Take me to jail… do what you have to do,’ Hill told the officers.
He was instead released but the 30-year-old has previously speculated about what might have happened to him if he was not a high-profile NFL star.
He told NBC: ‘If I wasn’t Tyreek Hill, Lord knows… worst-case scenario, I would have been shot or would have been locked up’.
A Florida police union claimed that Hill was driving dangerously when he was pulled over on Sunday and that he was cuffed after refusing to cooperate. Hill said he has ‘no idea’ what sparked his detainment.

‘You know who that is right?’ one cop asked his fellow officer, who simply replied: ‘No?’
Hill was released a few minutes later but not before his teammate Calais Campbell was also put in cuffs.
After the game, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel was almost brought to tears as he told reporters, ‘The thing that f***s me up honestly, to be quite frank, is knowing that I don’t know exactly… I don’t know what that feels like.’
Over the weekend, Miami-Dade Police revealed that a cop has been placed on administrative duties pending an internal investigation.
Hill has been previously convicted of domestic assault, was investigated for a separate assault in 2023, and was also investigated for potential child abuse.
He’s also admitted to having ten children and faced two paternity suits back in 2023, but asserts that he takes care of all of them.
