Samsung makes some seriously good phones, and you can see the proof in its current lineup, which includes not only the flagship Galaxy S24 but also the foldable Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. Both of the Z series phones offer a bit more versatility thanks to their designs, which approach the foldable concept in two different ways. While CNET editor Lisa Eadicicco loved a lot of things about the Z Fold 6, she said in her review that the biggest downside is the price, which starts at $1,900. You can save some big money on one using the deals below though.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a 7.6-inch AMOLED main screen and a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover screen. It also sports the upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip for fast processing. The array of cameras matches what we saw in the previous generation, with the Z Fold 6 sporting a 10-megapixel cover camera, a 4-megapixel under-display camera and a rear triple-camera setup, with a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera.

This story is part of Samsung Event, CNET’s collection of news, tips and advice around Samsung’s most popular products.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

As for storage, you can choose between 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage, and each is equipped with 12GB of RAM and the latest version of the company’s software, known as One UI 6. Also, according to Samsung, you should be able to get the 4,400-mAh battery up to a 50% charge in about half an hour with wired charging.

The starting prices for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the US, before any trade-ins or discounts, are as follows:

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 (256GB): $1,900

Best unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 6 deals

Along with a $300 discount on select colors and a $180 discount on the 256GB model, you can get a great price if you have an eligible phone to trade in.

Right now, you can get an unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 6 directly from Samsung and receive up to $1,200 in trade-in credit. That essentially gets you the 512GB model for $520 and the 1TB model for $1,060. You can also get an extra $100 in instant credit if you choose a carrier at the time of purchase.

If you want to add an accessory like a smartwatch or earbuds, you can score 30% off when you bundle them with the Z Fold 6.

Best Buy allows you to trade in an old phone to get up to $460 in credit. You can get an additional discount of $100 when you let Best Buy connect your new phone to a carrier. You’ll also get a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and three free months of Google One 100GB cloud storage.

Best Galaxy Z Fold 6 deals with a carrier

AT&T is not offering direct discounts on the Z Fold 6 at the moment, but there are ways to save. The carrier is offering up to $1,000 off with an eligible trade-in — and the requirements are pretty generous. You can trade in any Galaxy S, Note or Z series smartphone from any year, in any condition or an eligible smartphone with the trade-in value of $35 or higher. Just note that the savings will be paid out over three years via monthly credit installments.

You can also add a Galaxy S24 for only $6 with the purchase of this device. If that’s not your cup of tea, you can add a Galaxy Tab A9 Plus 5G or a Galaxy Watch 7 40mm for just $1 a month with an eligible plan. You’ll see these savings in the form of bill credits.

T-Mobile is not currently offering direct savings on the Z Fold 6, but if you have an eligible device to trade in, you could save up to $1,100. You’ll get that savings back via 24 monthly bill credits when you add a new line on a Go5G Next plan. Already a T-Mobile customer? You can score $1,100 savings if you trade in an eligible device on Go5G Next.

You can also save up to $600 with a Go5G plan, and up to $300 off with a trade-in. First responders, military members and people on 55 plans can qualify for additional discounts and perks.

Eligible devices include the Samsung Galaxy S9 and newer, Note 9 and newer and any of the Z series lineup, as well as the Apple iPhone 11 and newer, One Plus 9 Pro 5G and newer, Google Pixel 6 and newer and Motorola Razr Plus 2023.

Right now Xfinity Mobile is offering customers up to $700 in savings on a new Galaxy Z Fold 6 phone. To score the deal, new customers can transfer their number and get a new line with Xfinity Mobile to get $700 in device credits applied to their monthly statement. Existing customers can upgrade a device, scoring up to $700 in savings via 24 monthly credits when trading in an eligible phone.

Verizon is offering up to $1,000 in savings on the new Z Fold 6 when you trade in your old device. Whether you’re a new customer getting a new line of service or you’re an existing customer looking to upgrade, Verizon is currently taking select phones in any condition, but you must be on the company’s Unlimited Ultimate plan to take advantage of this deal.

You can also get the phone for $31 a month if you get a new line with Verizon and sign up for the Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan.
